Eddy Merckx
The Eddy Merckx route is an intense and physical journey. Like the hunger for victory of one of the world's cycling heroes. It starts in Riccione and goes to Montescudo, a medieval Malatesta stronghold, just over 20 kilometres from the Riviera: a landscape full of vineyards and cellars.
Not far from the sea, you can immerse yourself in gravel paths and white roads with a marvellous and characteristic landscape: Vineyards, olive groves and wheat fields. Before reaching the village of Montescudo, you can admire Trarivi, a hill on the Gothic line, devastated by the battles of the Second World War. You then reach the highest point of the route - 386 metres above sea level.
